Mia’s Italian Kitchen offers a brunch experience that feels both cozy and a little elevated. It’s located right in the heart of Old Town, just a short walk from the waterfront. Its exposed brick, welcoming atmosphere, and kind staff makes it a great pick for a birthday brunch or a casual meal with friends.
Overall Vibe:
Exposed brick, soft lighting, and a laid-back vibe that still felt thoughtfully put together. The staff was super friendly and attentive in a way that made the dining experience feel easy and genuinely enjoyable.
What I Tried (Bottomless Brunch):
- Breakfast Bruschetta – cranberry-walnut rustic bread, citrus cream cheese, fresh berries, honey
- Cinnamon-Raisin Italian Toast – amaretto dulce de leche, strawberries, whipped cream
- Zucchini Fries – parmesan-battered zucchini, charred lemon aioli
- Burrata – heirloom tomatoes, smoked salt, roasted figs, saba, basil
- Mia’s Bruschetta – roma tomatoes, garlic, balsamic, basil
- Rigatoni alla Bolognese – slow braised beef bolognese, san marzano tomatoes, ricotta
- Bucatini Cacio e Pepe – creamed pecorino romano, black pepper
- Rigatoni al Funghi – cremini, black trumpet, porcini, mascarpone
- Jumbo Shrimp Fra Diavola – spaghetti, calabrese peppers, lobster broth
- Mediterranean Pizza – mozzarella, tomato confit, kalamata olives, feta, shaved red onions
- House Made Donuts – cinnamon sugar apple-ricotta donuts, crème anglaise
Favorites:
- Breakfast Bruschetta – creamy, tangy, and perfectly sweet.
- Mediterranean Pizza – the crust was perfectly baked and the flavors blended beautifully and weren’t too salty.
- Bucatini Cacio e Pepe – the pasta was cooked perfectly and had a surprisingly authentic taste for a bottomless brunch menu item.
- House Made Donuts – perfectly balanced in sweetness, and the crème anglaise dip elevated the dessert.
What I’d Skip:
- Zucchini Fries – these were on the heavier side and a little too oily for my taste.
